At the 58th Anvil Awards held March 8, narzo bags its first-ever Silver Anvil for the entry titled “narzo Roundtable Series: An Inclusive Approach to Brand-Building”. narzo Philippines wins the accolade at only 7 months old in its first attempt.Winning under the Special Events and Exhibits category, the award recognizes narzo’s efforts back in September to October 2022 for a collaborative method that involved both Metro Manila and Regional media in the brand’s drive towards a stronger nationwide presence. The Silver Anvil commends narzo “for effectively implementing an inclusive and collaborative approach to establish ties with media nationwide and extend its brand presence in key areas of the Philippines”.

The Anvil Awards is annually presented by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP), and is considered to be the highest symbol of excellence in the field of Public Relations. This year’s Filipiniana-themed awarding ceremony, dubbed Gabi ng Parangal, was centered around the concept of “Isang Habi”, or One Weave. It was held at the Manila Marriott Hotel in Newport, Pasay City.

News of the Anvil Award also coincides with narzo’s seventh month of brand presence in the Philippines. To date, narzo has six smartphone models in its Quality Sulit lineup: starting from the entry-level narzo 50i Prime (PHP 4,499) all the way to the mid-range narzo 50 Pro 5G (PHP 13,999).
The challenger brand also expanded rapidly to both offline and online platforms during its infancy period. As of March 2023, narzo already established a total of 64 physical stores nationwide, with more to follow throughout the year. Most notably, narzo has more branches in the provinces combined than in Metro Manila, enabling it to reach far-flung regions. narzo is also present on e-commerce platforms, including Shopee, Lazada, TikTok, Zalora, and SM Malls Online.
When it comes to social media, narzo recently gained over 36,000 followers on its official Facebook page and over 15,000 members on its growing online community. narzo has achieved multiple sold-out records on Double Digit and Payday Sales, and its models have been included in various Gaming and Budget year-end lists of media publications for 2022.
What’s next for narzo in 2023
narzo Philippines has a lot lined up for its fans this 2023. It remains committed to its goal of providing affordable and reliable technology for the average Filipino, and will continue bringing new smartphone models throughout the year.

Azela Taladua of BigGrocer Food and Grocery, went from having zero knowledge on e-commerce to efficiently running their online business with the help of the Shopee Seller Education Hub. “I was hired by BigGrocer to oversee their e-commerce channels, even though I did not have any background in this field. The different tools readily available on the Seller Education Hub, like Business Insights, made it easy for me to learn how to effectively manage our online operations,” shared Azela.

For Hilaire Labalan, a 20-year old student and the founder of Ithra Jewelry, participating in the various sales and offering discounts and vouchers has enabled her to attract new customers each month. “From starting out with five weekly customers, we now have around 200. Joining the monthly sales and offering discounts and promotions has enabled us to grow our customer base and generate even more sales for the business,” shared Hilaire.

To celebrate this phenomenon, Samsung Electronics is launching its second edition of the #TeamUnstoppable regional brand campaign, daring Gen Zs and millennials of Southeast Asia to face challenges head-on and strive for greater heights. Based on the theme “Together, We are Unstoppable”, the campaign gathers a group of young changemakers who are passionate about gaming, food, sustainability, social good, education and fashion, and calls on youth from across the region to share their own inspiring stories and galvanize others into action.
This year, to better engage younger audiences, the #TeamUnstoppable movement will be centered on TikTok, where a brand-new generation of ‘unstoppable’ young individuals will share authentic stories in snackable, mobile-first episodic videos.
“Throughout the ups and downs of the past year, it has never been clearer that Gen Zs and millennials in Southeast Asia are unafraid to defy barriers and tap on technology to do good.
