Vivo’s young stars troop to the ritzy V11 launch


Vivo’s roster of talents was led by blockbuster actor Daniel Padilla. He was joined by fellow stars Maymay Entrata, Edward Barber, Barbie Forteza, Kisses Delavin, Iñigo Pascual, Julie Anne San Jose, Loisa Andalio, McCoy de Leon, Elisse Joson, Vern Enciso, Verniece Enciso, Maris Racal, Darren Espanto, Ashley Rivera, Kira Balinger, Chienna Filomeno, and KZ Tandingan. 




The night’s entertainers, Julie Anne and KZ, show off the beauty of the Vivo V11 in their social media pages. 

The launch was kicked off by Julie Anne, also known as the Asia’s Pop Sweetheart, with her powerful medley of Jennifer Lopez songs that pumped up the mood of the guests. KZ, the Soul Supreme, then closed the grand launch with a mini-concert that highlighted her vocal prowess and engaging performance.

The Vivo endorsers, of course, would not let the night end without their traditional selfie with Ms. Annie Lim, the Vice President for PR and Strategy Partnerships, and Ms. Hazel Bascon, the Vice President for Sales. Fashion vloggers Vern and Verniece, meanwhile, guided the guests visiting the Vivo V11 Experience Area after the star-studded main event launch.

Ashley, although most known for her comedic acts, showed a different side during the event when she played DJ for Vivo. 



Maris and Loisa are as beautiful as the Vivo V11 in Starry Night and Nebula colors. 


Maris and Loisa also shared their talent at the launch and sang for Vivo’s partners. LG Honors the Injured Liberators of Marawi with a Donation to the AFP Health Service Command

On its 30th anniversary, LG donates air conditioners, washers, TVs and a refrigerator to benefit Marawi soldier casualties and other injured soldiers at the Victoriano Luna Medical Center. 



In the spirit of National Heroes Day, LG Electronics reaffirmed its longstanding commitment to providing assistance to the community with a donation-in-kind to the Victoriano Luna Medical Center (VLMC), a government hospital that provides sanctuary and support to injured soldiers, including those who suffered casualties in the Marawi siege. 



In a simple ceremony held on August 29 at the AFP Health Service Command, Mr. Inkwun Heo, Managing Director of LG Philippines, handed over ten (10) 1.5 HP Dual Cool Inverter Split Type Air Purifying Deluxe Airconditioners, two (2) 13kg Inverter Top Load Washing Machines, one (1) 24 cu ft Side by Side Refrigerator and ten (10) 43" Smart TVs to Col. Jeffrey Jake Gallenero, Philippine Army MNSA, Chief of Staff, AFP Health Service Command (AFPHSC). Also present were the chiefs of each operating unit and staff of the AFP Health Service Command. 

The project was initiated to ease the recovery of the valiant soldiers at the Orthopedic Heroes Ward who sustained injuries in Marawi and other military efforts. Each airconditioner features an independently working Air Purification mode, assuring that the air the patients breathe is clean even when the unit is switched off, and never stale. LG airconditioners also operate at low sound levels to provide better rest and uninterrupted sleep for these wounded soldiers. Along with the Smart TVs, these airconditioning units will bring comfort to patients and their families at the wards, 


Officers’ Room, and Isolation and Post-recovery rooms. 

Aside from the patients at the Orthopedic Heroes Ward, the hospital staff will also benefit from LG’s donation of washing machines and a refrigerator, which will be placed at the ward comfort rooms and ward pantry, respectively. The Side by Side Refrigerator has multiple cooling air vents that distribute and circulate cool air to every corner of the refrigerator, ensuring that the staff’s and patients’ food are properly cooled and remain fresh, while the 13kg Inverter Top Load Washing Machines have a Turbo Drum feature that enables the most powerful wash and the removal of the toughest hospital stains. 

The airconditioners, washing machines and refrigerator are all equipped with the latest inverter technology, ensuring that the medical center enjoys bigger energy savings but with more efficient appliances.

Earlier this year, LG donated health kits, comprised of roughly 30,000 personal care products, and 200 computer monitors to 46 public schools in Marawi. It’s time to make a wish! Vivo endorsers share their personal wishes online to encourage tech savvy fans to join Vivo’s #MakeAWish promo. 

To join the #MakeAWish promo, Vivo fans of at least 18 years old through www.vivoglobal.ph/V11makeawish. They can then upload a selfie with an object—be it an analog or digital clock, or any time-keeping indicator that shows 11:11 am/pm—with a corresponding #MakeAWish caption to qualify. 

There will be two weekly winners for the #MakeAWish promo. A cutting-edge Vivo V11 will be awarded to the Grand Winner for both weeks while the 1st Runner Up will receive a special Vivo gift set, a premium Vivo notebook, and Little V stuffed toy. 

Entries will be accepted until September 12, 2018 to get a chance to experience Vivo’s latest offering: the Vivo V11, a hip smartphone fully equipped with a contemporary screen design and a convenient fast charging battery. 

Participants may submit more than one original entry per account, while same entries (identical image and caption) shall be considered as one entry. For more chances of winning, a participant may submit multiple unique entries provided that the photo and caption are unique from their previous entry. Participants may only upload a contribution with which they own the rights for publication. Heavily edited pictures will not be accepted. 

The selection of winners will be held every Thursday, 3 PM at the Vivo office in Ortigas. A representative from the Department of Trade and Industry will be invited to witness the selection of the winners.

Vivo to bring out the ethereal colors of the cosmos in upcoming flagship


In the past few days, Vivo has been teasing its followers with visuals that give a nod to the cosmos. One of the clues emphasized the curved shape of the moon while another super-imposed the thumbprint to a spiral galaxy. Other posts show space rockets taking off, falling stars, nebulas, and galaxies. 



The color of the cosmos can be in your hands with Vivo’s upcoming smartphone. 



So far, Vivo has been consistent in featuring the beauty of the universe in its latest social media posts. 

Today was no different. Vivo released another galactic content. The video showed stardust in blue and violet fusion, as if the two colors were mixed. It was released with the caption, “Experience an out of the world feat at the palm of your hands.” 

Eagle-eyed tech fans would have not missed the new smartphone silhouette that the video showed—with a tiny curve on top. 

Vivo has used various colors in its models for its previous releases. It introduced the Rose Gold and Champagne Gold in V5Plus, the Crown Gold in V5, the Matte Black in V7+ and V7, the Space Gray in Y53, and the Velvet Red in V9. 

The global smartphone brand’s endorsers in the Philippines have been dropping hints about the next Vivo flagship. Blockbuster actor Daniel Padilla of “The Hows of Us”, for instance, posted a photo of himself with a gradient pink and blue background and the words “Go Beyond,” tagging Vivo Philippines’ account. Other Vivo endorsers also posted similar photos of the same background, while there were those who posted photos of colorful backgrounds and playful lighting. Some of the Vivo ladies, meanwhile, teased with their makeup with hints of ombre palette. 

With these visuals, Vivo fans can only expect another colorful gem with the upcoming flagship. But will Vivo go beyond its usual offering this time?
